Assumes you currently have and internet account with web space i.e. disk space on another computer on the internet.
Procedure:
fill in FTP Video Files Settings and enable FTP Upload. Log
on to the internet. Execute, Test FTP Upload Now. Capture Video to files and
watch the files get uploaded. Go to your web site and download the files.
Select menu item, Settings, Upload Video Files, FTP Video Files Settings, enter server address, your user name and password as provided to you by your ISP. Click OK.
Log your computer onto the internet.
Select menu item, Settings, Upload Video Files, Test FTP Upload Now.
A message box pops up saying, FTP Sending CaptureSample.avi, click OK. This will be renamed when it is uploaded to 1.avi or some other numer.
If file uploaded OK, you will get a message box saying, FTP Sent OK - the name of the file uploaded e.g. 1.avi or 2.avi ... If not you will get a message box error telling you the cause of the problem. Adjust your server address and log names until Test FTP works. Use a program like WS_FTP to connect to your web space, to get the right server and user name - once you can do that enter the correct parameters into FTP Video Files Settings. Test FTP until it works correctly, once so you are ready to have it run smoothly in the program.
OK you got Test FTP to work. Check the sample uploaded file on the remote web space was indeed uploaded there. Use WS_FTP or your web browser to verify a file called 1.avi or 2.avi (what ever name the message box told you) was uploaded to your web space. If you do not know how to do this read documentation of WS_FTP or browser, or call your ISP to give you help on how to access your web space.
Now lets get Video Monitoring Software to upload the files while it runs.
Select menu item Settings, Program Parameters, enter Frames Per File=20, enter Max. Number of Files=3, click OK, Save Configuration. (Make sure you are using MPEG V1 to compress your files and keep them small).
Select menu item, Settings, Upload Video Files, FTP Video Files Settings, place a check mark next to Enable FTP Upload of Video Files, click OK.
Select menu item, Monitor, Enable Capture to File, and then Monitor Start. Wave your hand in front of the camera. On the status bar watch the frame counter when it reaches 20, the status bar will say uploading file, then say uploaded file ok. Keep waving your hand, the counter reaches 40, another file is uploaded, and another one at 60, an another at 80.
Select menu item Monitor, Monitor Stop Now no more files will be uploaded.
Select menu item, Settings, Upload Video Files, FTP Video Files Settings, remove check mark next to Enable FTP Upload of Video Files, click OK so next time you capture video files will not be uploaded.
Now go to your web site and check for your video files. They will be named 1.avi, 2.avi, and 3.avi. Hey, we uploaded 4 files! Thats right the 4th file over wrote 1.avi since we specified a maximum of 3 files to upload.
End of example.
