Configure Sound Alarm

How to set a sound alarm. The simples alarm is the Detection Sound. The other alarm is the Sound Alarm which uses a timer, also listed below.

Detection Sound

1. click on number pad for a an installed camera
2. in Configure Camera dialog put check mark beside Enable Camera
3. put check mark beside Use Detection Sound
4. click OK
5. do Save Configuration if you want to save the setting
6. click the Monitor button

Result you can hear a beep when motion is in front of this camera.

Under menu item, Sound Alarm Settings, you can also put a check beside, Use Separate Sound for Each Camera.

Sound Alarm

1. Set Alarm Polling Time = 20 seconds under menu item Alarm Settings.
2. click on number pad for a an installed camera
3. in Configure Camera dialog put check mark beside Enable Camera
4. check mark beside Use Sound Alarm
5. set Frames for Alarm = 10
6. click OK
7. click Monitor

Result wave hand in front of  this camera, after 20 seconds, you should hear a sound alarm through your computer speakers.

Under menu item, Sound Alarm Settings, you can also put a check beside, Use Separate Sound Alarm for Each Camera.

Under Camera Configuration for this camera you can put a check mark beside, Use No Motion Detection. Now do not put any motion in front of this camera while Monitoring - result after 20 seconds you should get a sound alarm since there was no motion detected on this camera.
